60 years of shipbuilding in Germany
60 years ago Germany was characterised by restarting. German shipbuilding until then being among forbidden industries rapidly reached its position on the international market owing to first class ship designs and technologies. In April 1949 “Schiff&Hafen” was founded on the basis of the two preceding magazines of 1900 “Schiffbau” (shipbuilding)  and “Werft, Reederei und Hafen”(shipyard, shipping company and port) and has accompanied the impressive development from the begin.

25 years of GMT
For 25 years the Gesellschaft für Maritime Technik e.V. (GMT) has successfully been representing the interests of German companies and research institutes for ocean technologies. As interface between economy, research and practice the main tasks of GMT are initiation, promotion and co-ordination of national and international research and development projects.
Members of the GMT are companies, institutes, research facilities and organisations from industrial sectors like offshore technology, renewable energy, maritime environmental technology, oceanography, underwater technology, coastal and hydraulic engineering, aqua culture, polar technology as well as maritime traffic control and monitoring technology.

25 years of NSB - a shipping company on the route to success
Halfway through 2007, the Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft (NSB, Niederelbe shipping company) in Buxtehude had three reasons for celebrating within a short timeframe: firstly in this year, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary since being founded. Secondly, NSB moved into a new company building and thirdly, it assumed the management for its hundredth ship.
